After much planning and discussion our Wild Explorers Club is not just a thought, but a reality. I am so excited to be a part of such a wonderful group of families.
The enthusiasm was contagious as we met for our first hike and project. Our first project was putting together a nature pack, which the children were eager to share. Even after our hike, many children pulled out their nature journals to document their finds.
We had children as old as 14 all the way down to infants. The moms were troopers as they pulled on carriers for their children or wheeled their strollers through the uneven terrain.
"Children are born naturalists. They explore the world with all of their senses, experiment in the environment, and communicate their discoveries to those around them."
